Follow narrow trails through lush forest, waterfalls, and terraced hillsides. Cross suspension bridges and pass through small settlements to reach Machha Khola.
The trail continues along the river, passing Tatopani (natural hot springs), and climbs to Jagat – a charming stone-paved village and entry checkpoint to the Manaslu Conservation Area.
Ascend gradually through forested hills, crossing rivers and walking through small villages like Philim and Ekle Bhatti. Deng marks the beginning of more Tibetan-influenced culture.
Continue through forests, stone-paved paths, and high ridges. Pass Mani walls and prayer flags as you climb into the alpine zone. Namrung is a culturally rich village with magnificent views of Manaslu.
Ascend through charming villages such as Lihi and Lho, offering views of Manaslu and surrounding peaks. Reach Samagaon, a large village surrounded by glaciers and monasteries.
Take a well-earned rest day to acclimatize to the altitude. Optional hikes include Manaslu Base Camp (4,800m) or Pungyen Gompa. Explore local culture and admire the Himalayan views.
Trek through high-altitude terrain with sparse vegetation and yak pastures. Samdo is the last permanent settlement before the pass, offering panoramic mountain views and cultural insights.
A shorter trek day, gaining altitude gradually toward the base of Larkya La. Dharamsala (Larkya Phedi) is a basic high camp used by trekkers preparing to cross the pass.
Start early to cross Larkya La Pass, the highest point of the trek. The climb is gradual but challenging due to the altitude and terrain. Enjoy breathtaking views from the top before descending to the glacial valley of Bimthang.
Descend through rhododendron and pine forests, cross rivers, and pass through Gho and Tilije villages. Reach Dharapani, where the trail meets the Annapurna Circuit.
