Itinerary
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. A short briefing about the trek will be provided. Rest and prepare for your upcoming adventure.
Today you will explore some of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. Later in the day, you will meet your trek leader for a final gear check and briefing.
A scenic drive via Arughat and along the Budhi Gandaki River takes you to Soti Khola, the starting point of the trek. The journey offers views of rural landscapes, terraced fields, and waterfalls.
Today’s trail undulates through forests, terraced rice paddies, and cliffside paths. You'll pass small Gurung and Magar villages before reaching the riverside village of Machha Khola.
Follow the narrow trail along the Budhi Gandaki River, crossing several suspension bridges and natural hot springs at Tatopani. Ascend through a forested ridge to reach Jagat, a checkpoint village for restricted area permits.
The trail continues through riverbanks, lush forests, and culturally Tibetan-influenced villages like Philim and Ekle Bhatti. Enjoy scenic views of waterfalls and cliffs as you ascend gradually toward Deng.
Crossing bamboo forests and crossing the Budhi Gandaki several times, you'll pass through villages such as Rana and Ghap. As you climb higher, you’ll notice increasing Tibetan cultural elements.
A shorter but scenic day, today’s trek offers views of Manaslu and other snow-capped peaks. Pass through alpine forests and reach the beautiful village of Lho, home to a large monastery.
Walk through picturesque pine forests and charming settlements with panoramic views of the Manaslu range. Upon arrival in Samagaon, explore the village and its iconic Ribung Gompa monastery.
Rest and explore the area to acclimatize to the altitude. Optional hikes include a visit to Manaslu Base Camp (4,800m) or Pungyen Gompa, both offering spectacular Himalayan views.
A gradual ascent along a dry, alpine route leads to Samdo, the last settlement before the pass. The village offers a glimpse into Tibetan refugee culture and panoramic views of surrounding peaks.
Another important day for acclimatization. You can hike to a viewpoint toward the Tibet border or rest and prepare for the challenging Larkya La Pass.
A short but steep trek through rugged terrain brings you to Dharamsala (also known as Larkya Phedi), the base camp for the pass. Early dinner and rest in preparation for the high-altitude crossing.
Begin early to cross Larkya La Pass, the highest point of the trek. The ascent offers dramatic alpine scenery, and the top provides panoramic views of Himlung, Cheo, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. A long descent brings you to the beautiful glacial valley of Bimthang.
Descend through rhododendron forests and cross glacial streams. Pass through yak pastures and the scenic village of Gho before reaching Tilije, a culturally rich settlement in the lower Annapurna region
A short walk takes you to Dharapani, where the Manaslu trail joins the Annapurna Circuit. From here, drive to Besisahar, the district headquarters of Lamjung.
Enjoy a scenic drive back to Kathmandu along rivers and terraced fields. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy your last evening in Nepal.
