Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Jiri, the gateway to the trek. As you pass through picturesque villages and lush landscapes, you’ll catch glimpses of the lower Himalayan foothills.
Start the trek with a gentle ascent through rhododendron forests towards Bhandar, a Sherpa village. Along the way, you will experience the beauty of terraced fields and local culture.
Trek through dense forests and across traditional Sherpa villages as you make your way to Ngaur, where the culture of the region comes to life. You’ll be able to enjoy the stunning views of distant mountain ranges.
Begin the ascent towards Pikey Peak, reaching Base Camp for incredible views of the Everest region. The trail winds through pristine forests, and you’ll be treated to expansive views of snow-capped mountains.
Enjoy a spectacular sunrise from the summit of Pikey Peak. The panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks are unparalleled. Afterward, descend to Junbesi, a picturesque Sherpa village, known for its peaceful surroundings.
Today’s trek takes you from Junbesi to Phaplu, with the chance to visit local monasteries and experience Sherpa hospitality.
