Itinerary
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. A pre-trek briefing will be held in the evening to discuss the journey ahead.
Begin your adventure with a thrilling flight to Lukla. After landing, trek through scenic villages and along the Dudh Koshi River to the peaceful settlement of Phakding.
Cross suspension bridges and pass through pine forests as you enter Sagarmatha National Park. A final uphill stretch leads you to Namche Bazaar, the bustling hub of the Khumbu region.
Take a rest day in Namche to adjust to the altitude. You can explore the town, visit the Sherpa Museum, or hike to the Everest View Hotel for stunning vistas of Everest and Ama Dablam.
Leave the classic Everest trail and head north toward the Gokyo Valley. The trail ascends through birch and rhododendron forests, with dramatic views of snowy peaks before arriving in the small village of Dole.
Continue your gradual ascent through yak pastures and alpine terrain. Enjoy the peaceful landscape and stay overnight in Machhermo, a picturesque highland village.
Today’s hike takes you past Ngozumpa Glacier and the first of the Gokyo Lakes. You’ll arrive at the third and most beautiful lake, Dudh Pokhari, where the village of Gokyo is located on its shores.
Wake up early for the climb to Gokyo Ri, where you’ll enjoy one of the best panoramic views in Nepal, including Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and Makalu. Later, explore the other glacial lakes surrounding the area.
After a rewarding experience in Gokyo, begin your descent back down the valley. Retrace your steps through the stunning alpine scenery to reach Dole.
Continue the descent past forests and mountain villages as you return to the vibrant town of Namche Bazaar. Enjoy your last full day in the heart of Sherpa country.
The final trekking day leads you down through the Dudh Koshi Valley back to Lukla. Celebrate the completion of your trek with your team.
Take an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or explore the capital.
