Annapurna

Khopra trek

Overview

The Khopra Danda Trek is a scenic and less-traveled route in the Annapurna region that offers panoramic views, rich cultural encounters, and a peaceful alternative to the more crowded trails. In just 7 days, this moderate trek takes you through beautiful forests, traditional villages, and high alpine ridges — culminating at Khopra Ridge (3,660m), one of the best viewpoints in the Himalayas.

The trail provides breathtaking vistas of Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and Machapuchare (Fishtail). Optional hikes to Khayar Lake add spiritual and natural richness to the journey. The route also gives insight into the Magar and Gurung communities, with stays in local teahouses and community lodges.
